- To coordinate and control the research and development of mechanical engineering equipment in such a way that customer needs are satisfied and those resources are optimized

Requisites
- B. Sc. Degree in Mechanical Engineering, registered as a Professional Engineer with the Engineering Council of Namibia
- Six (6) years’ practical experience in Engineering of which two (2) years should have been at Engineer level with emphasis on Research and
- Development in Mechanical Engineering
- Working knowledge of technical and mechanical equipment and modifications, costing and budgeting of coaches, wagons and containers
- Diagnostic skills, analytical skills, short-medium and long-term planning, organizing skills, ability to interpret engineering plans, specialist technical skills, project management skills
