Assistant Controller: Production

Description

• Reporting to the Controller: Production, the Assistant Controller: Production will assist with the day-to-day operations and activities in the Plant and work with the Controller: Production to ensure that the highest level of quality product is produced and packed according to specification

Duties

• Responsible to assist Controller: Production to expedite production to reach targets according to business demands
• Report breakdowns in the plant to Controller: Production
• Manage all staff across your shift effectively; monitor activities of workers during production
• Lead and motivate the production team to meet quality and safety standards, maximize output and reduce wastage
• Employee is required to do stock take as and when required
• Responsible to assist the Controller: Production to report all safety incidents / accidents
• Responsible to ensure quality controls on packed products, packing material & pallets
• Responsible to ensure that the final products are identified correctly to obtain the required traceability (forwards & backwards) through to the final product, by ensuring that all products Date coded with the actual manufacturing date
• Assist the Controller: Production with daily stock controls: count, record and report finished product levels

Requisites

• Grade 12
• A minimum of 3 years work experience in a manufacturing environment
• Result driven achiever
• Be prepared to work odd hours and overtime when required
• Be prepared to work shifts
• Valid forklift licence
• Valid code B1 drivers’ licence
