Code C Driver

Description

• Main responsibility of a C1 Driver is delivery and collection of stock, equipment and documentation in a timely, safe and courteous manner
• Must assist with loading and offloading of trucks
• Where no deliveries are scheduled drivers are to assist at the store with adhoc duties
• Adhere to general health and safety, cleaning, and dress code regulations

Duties

• Delivery, record deliveries
• Refuel and clean vehicle
• Report road incidents to the department Manager
• Adhere to all Namibian traffic laws
• Inspect vehicles and record issues
• Follow accident/ incident reporting procedures
• Report mechanical problems to maintenance personnel
• Get goods to the client on time
• Maintain a positive attitude with customers
• Keep commercial driver license up to date

Requisites

• Education & Experience:
• Grade 12
• Code C1 Driver’s License
• PDP lisence is an added advantage
• At least 2 years’ experience as driver
• Literacy:
• Good English comprehension (speak, write, read)
• Basic numeracy skills and calculations
