Operations and Administration Manager (m/f)

Ashburton is recruiting an Operations and Administration Manager (m/f), to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Duties
  • To actively contribute to the achievement of key business objectives through managing of all operational and administrative aspects within functional area
  • Develop, manage and implement tactical operations and administrative strategies in order to achieve organizational goals and to ensure growth in assets. Manage the administration functions to ensure sustainable profitability and provide efficient customer service, without incurring unmanageable risks. Ensure process optimization and the successful implementation of systems within area of responsibility
  • Manage expenditure planning and reporting within approved budget parameters
  • Draw up a budget aligned to tactical delivery plans, monitor effectiveness and report on variances
  • Establish mutually beneficial relationships with stakeholders that support throughout leadership, innovative and integrated practice solutions
  • Focus on tactical service plans to deliver and continuously provide a consistent, seamless and positive internal and external customer experience
  • Define, develop and maintain policies, procedures, standards and frameworks to efficiently manage practice and provide thought leadership
  • Integrate business information, and compare, analyze and produce reports to identify trends, discrepancies and inconsistencies for decision making purposes
  • Set tactical goals and optimize the use of the people, finances and technologies to realize those goals
  • Enable Business Unit service delivery through implementing systems and processes to improve service and implement quality systems and metrics for measuring service levels and satisfaction
  • Provide input into, and implement, corporate governance, compliance, integrity and ethics policies in are of accountability to identify and manage risk exposure
  • Draft, evaluate and submit compliance reports
  • Manage people by executing management responsibilities and create an environment that encourages employee growth and performance excellence
Requisites
  • Relevant bachelor’s degree
  • Honours Degree in Business Administration or relevant
  • 5-8 years’ experience in a similar environment of which 2-3 years should have been at management level
  • Knowledge Required: Administration, processes, systems, policies, legislation
  • Additional requirements
  • Good understanding of financial markets
  • In-depth understanding of the operational and technology aspects and processes within an asset management and wealth management business
  • A strong analytical mind and proven problem solving capabilities
  • Be passionate about digitization and the leveraging of technology to solve business needs
  • Project management experience will be an added advantage
