Old Mutual is recruiting an Analyst, to be based in Ondangwa, Swakopmund, and Keetmanshoop, Namibia.
Duties
  • Responsible for defining new/existing and documenting of the business process procedures/guidelines/policies and workflows for management sign-off and conduct annual reviews of these processes. Create and maintain a library of functional documentation related to key processes and the services they enable
  • Analyzing systems and business processes to determine problems/risks/opportunities for enhancement and recommend projects to improve the effectiveness of these processes
  • Provide status reports on projects as required (incl weekly and monthly) on progress highlighting risks, issues, impediments and dependencies
  • Formulating of business strategies and guidelines to improve the business environment
  • Analyzing the past, present and future business environment
  • Facilitates the implementation of new or enhanced business processes
  • Develop business architecture to future state including target operation
  • Coordinating and crafting of internal requirements analysis for automating of manual business processes with the OMNAM AI Senior Project Manager & Business Analysts
  • Reviews business processes and conducting of process audits, as required & when required
  • Document requirements including data modelling, interface layouts, data flows, screen and report layouts etc
  • Assist the OMNAM AI Senior Project Manager on current/new projects and identify, assess as well as escalate project risks and issues as appropriate
  • Perform User Acceptance, Staging and Production Tests in the Business systems
  • Building and maintaining excel databases (VBA programming) to enhance business processes
  • Drive the FIA Project in conjunction with the various service providers
  • Drafting of Business Case for Business Projects
  • Performing of business data analytics and providing recommendation to management as well as the reporting of the analytics results
  • Identify innovative, effective and scalable approaches to tackle business change management issues and scenarios
  • Conduct insightful/ad hoc analysis to investigate ongoing/one-time operational issues
  • Drive the crafting and the implementation of initiatives to enhance customer experience
  • Conduct Market intelligence & provide recommendation to the Management
  • Manage effective communications & engagements with all Business stakeholders
  • Provide support to the Business Administration & Operations, Investment, Business Development and the Sales & Distribution Team
  • Collaborate effectively to achieve personal and business wide results
  • Performing of Ad-hoc Activities as instructed by Line Manager and Management
Requisites
  • Namibian Citizenship
  • Bachelor of Informatics Honours (Business Informatics), Investment, Economics, Finance, Commerce, Risks & Compliance Management, Project Management or Business Administration/Management is preferred
  • 2-4 years Investment/Unit Trust, Banking, Finance, Compliance, Business Analysis, Solution design, Risks & Project Management experience
  • Sound business knowledge of compliance & regulatory experience is advantageous
  • Computer literate
  • Strong Project Management experience
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Advanced Microsoft PowerPoint skills
  • Excellent numerical ability
  • Strong problem-solving and excellent time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written & verbal
  • Excellent Report writing skills
  • Detail-oriented
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high service levels
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong team player
