Pupkewitz MegaBuild is recruiting a Buying Clerk, to be based in Ongwediva, Namibia.
Duties
- Replenish stock from suppliers for branch to achieve 100% stock availability
- Follow up on overdue/outstanding Purchase Orders
- Negotiate better prices and discounts by building solid supplier relationships
- Arrange transport for respective branches stock orders
- Perform sales and merchandising when required
Requisites
- Minimum Grade 11 (New Curriculum) or Grade 12 (NSSC-O) with 22 marks
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Buyer in the Building or Retail industry
- Computer literate – knowledge of the “Kerridge” computer system will be an advantage
- Prior sales experience will be an advantage
- An assertive person with excellent negotiation and leadership skills
- Self-starter with good communication and interpersonal skills
- Effective planning and organizing skills
- Someone that can work under pressure and that is a strong team player
