Chief Financial Officer

Description

• Responsible for ensuring long term financial sustainability through the management of all financial business processes in line with best Corporate governance practices
• Ensure that the financial systems are optimally utilized in establishing a sound financial environment

Duties

• Directs the preparation of all financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, shareholder reports, tax returns, and governmental agency reports
• Studies long-range economic trends and projects their impact on future growth in sales and market share
• Investment of funds and engagements with investment bankers/institutions to raise required capital
• Development of financial policies & governance frameworks
• Development and compilation of corporate budget
• Management of financial accounting systems and reporting
• Statutory/legal compliance
• Corporate governance compliance
• Strategic financial management
• Tariff increase optimization
• Operation Costs Improvement

Requisites

• Honors Degree in Accounting/ Post graduate Diploma in Accounting (CTA)
• Chartered Accountancy ( CA) registered with the institute of Chartered -Accountants Namibia or South Africa (Membership number to be provided)
• 12 years’ experience in Financial Management of which 5 years at Senior Management level
• Experience in successfully leading teams of people in large corporate environments
• NQF Level 8
• Driver’s License Code B
