Meatco is recruiting a Chief Financial Officer, to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Description
  • The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible for ensuring the long-term financial sustainability through the management of all financial business processes in line with best Corporate Governance practices
  • Establishes a sound financial environment and ensures the ongoing development and monitoring of financial control systems designed to preserve company assets and resources and report accurate financial results
Duties
  • Strategic Financial Management:
  • Strategically plan, develop, organize and implement the Corporation fiscal function and performance
  • Studies long-range economic trends and projects their impact on future growth in sales and market share, supported by the development of financial models for the Corporation
  • Financial Reporting:
  • Direct the preparation of all financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, shareholder reports, tax returns, and governmental agency reports
  • Oversee the correctness, credibility, and timeliness of group financial reporting on macro- and micro-levels according to required format
  • Corporation Annual Budget:
  • Develop and compile corporate budget
  • Establish, implement, and maintain the procedures for an effective system of budgetary control
  • Manage and improve operation costs
  • Auditing and Risk Management:
  • Pre-empt, understand, and mitigate key elements of the Corporations Financial Risk Profile
  • Ensure statutory/legal compliance and corporate governance compliance. Develop financial policies and governance frameworks
Requisites
  • Competency and Skill Requirements:
  • Chartered Accountant (CA) with registration with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Namibia (ICAN) or any other relevant CA Body or a Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) qualification
  • Ten (10) years of relevant experience, including five (5) years in a senior managerial role
  • Experience in manufacturing and or marketing entities preferable

  • Must be a Namibian Citizen/Permanent Residence Permit Holders
