Commercial Lines Claims Negotiator

Duties

• Applying and interpretating Commercial, Agriculture, Infinity Scheme and Hospitality wording to claims
• End-to-end negotiating and settlement of Insured recovery claim-pre-litigation through claims assessment, claims payments, processing of claims
• Delivering on daily production standards
• Following standardised processes and provides administrative support in line with normal business functioning
• Responding to immediate administrative requirements within procedure
• Using standard administrative techniques to coordinate own work
• Being accountable for service delivery through own efforts
• Collaborating effectively with others to achieve personal results
• Being Individually accountable for managing own time tasks and output quality for periods of 1 day to a maximum of 3 months
• Adhering to services standards and provide quality service delivery
• Making increase contributions by broadening individual skills
• Preforming quality checks on own work
• Engage with other in line with organisational guidelines, polices, culture and values
• Adhere to all financial requirements and ensure cost control, adhere to governance control

Requisites

• Grade 12 with 25 points
• Namibian citizen
• Relevant tertiary qualification from a recognised institution
• Minimum of 3-5 short term claims experience
• Related Short-term insurance qualification
• Relevant short-term insurance qualification will be an added advantage e.g. COP
• Previous short-term underwriting experience will be an added advantage
• Must be detail and quality orientated
• Computer literacy and good numeric skills are essential
• Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
• High energy levels and a team player
• Ability to work under pressure
• Ability to work independently and take initiative
• Afrikaans and English speaking/writing & communicating
• Excellent communicator with a passion for customer service and relationship building
