FNB Namibia is recruiting a Computer Operator (m/f), to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Description
- Day to day computer operations including incident handling performance monitoring routine start up close down and routine backup restore
Duties
- Increase operational efficiency and suggest solutions to enhance cost effectiveness
- Ensure client retention and satisfaction by delivering a service that is consistent, seamless and error free
- Proactively deal with client queries within the agreed turn-around times to resolve Computer Intelligence queries by monitoring alerts and follow/up exceptions with relevant support areas and do performance continuous health checks
- Comply with governance in terms of legislative and audit requirements
- Minimize system downtime through pro-active monitoring and planning and ensuring minimization of recurring incidents
- Monitor all online services/system via available monitoring and address any anomalies to prevent downtime
- Monitor Prognosis, Online banking and Mobile banking and monitor networks
- Run Mainframe batch via Control/M and ECS
- Perform Mainframe shutdowns and IPLs
- Monitor and attend to BBISS, ECS, SOI and CHG alerts on a continuous basis
- Execute all planned/unplanned changes or special instructions
Requisites
- 2-3 years Diploma or Degree
- Experience in Core banking systems will be an advantage
