Controller

Description

• Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Controller will be responsible to ensure that sales controller, stock/production control and the general financial control environment is maintained and improved at Ohorongo Cement

Duties

• Update and maintain selling prices and regions
• Prepare and analyze daily, weekly, and monthly annual sales reports
• Prepare and analyze production and stock reports and identify any potential problems
• Maintain system of controls over accounting transaction
• Assist in the preparation of the monthly business report
• Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors
• Assist in the preparation of the annual budget
• Any other duties as required

Requisites

• Grade 12
• Accounting Degree with articles preferred
• CIMA or newly qualified CA qualification would be advantageous
• At least three (3) years’ work experience in a manufacturing environment
• Passion for cost and management accounting
• SAP knowledge and experience would be advantageous
• Computer literate with a distinct proficiency in MS Excel
• Good interpersonal skills; must be able to work across different functions
• High level of stress tolerance, discipline and decisiveness and ability to achieve deadlines
• Must be willing to travel from time to time
• Fluency in English is a pre-requisite
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail
