RMB Namibia is recruiting a Credit Analyst (m/f), to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Description
- To evaluate portfolio risks, make credit decisions as per mandate and interacts with other departments regarding credit management strategies
Duties
- Control expenditure and identify process improvements to contain and reduce costs
- Manage credit risks
- Achieve revenue growth
- Reduce bad debt against Total Performing Loans Utilization
- Deliver internal and external customer service excellence through adherence to quality service standards
- Participate in planned activities that are appropriate for own development
- Compile reports that track progress and guide business to make informed decisions
- Manages risks in own area of responsibility
- Build working relationships across teams and functional lines to enhance work delivery, collaboration and innovation
- Identify and utilize opportunities for revenue growth to deliver on sales targets
Requisites
- Minimum Qualification - Relevant Post Graduate Commerce Degree specializing in Credit
- Experience - 3 to 5 years’ experience in a similar environment
- Additional requirements:
- Having completed articles will be a distinct advantage
- Experience in major financial institutions will be beneficial
- Experience should ideally include financial modelling/understanding of financial modelling, assessing and advising on industry and company specific risks
- Basic understanding of credit ratings, portfolio theory and credit pricing
