B2Gold is recruiting a Creditors Clerk (m/f), to be based in Otjiwarongo, Namibia.
Duties
- To provide financial support by receiving and processing supplier invoices, ensuring that quantities and prices of goods are invoiced correctly when compared to the original purchase order and all supplier accounts are reconciled within the defined parameters
- Invoice processing, reconciliation, and vendor account maintenancePerform invoice verification for accounts payable
- Record relevant account details on invoice and perform reconciliations
- Advise suppliers on their enquiries
- Inform vendors when valid tax invoices are not supplied
- Assist with vendor application process
Administration
- Perform checks to validate invoice processing and ensure accurate payments are made
- Assist with counting Petty Cash
- Assist to communicate finance reports to relevant stakeholders
- Build and maintain healthy relationships with stakeholders
Accounts Payable Transactions
- Capture all relevant data and transactions
- Validate and verify data
- Identify errors and initiate corrective actions
- Distribute data and information once transactions have been effected
- Complete the applicable reconciliations accurately and timeously
Health, Safety and Environment
- Ensure compliance to all B2Gold Safety, Health and Environmental policies and procedures
- Actively participate in safety and/or toolbox meetings
- Maintain a safe working environment, and keep the assigned work area clean and tidy
- Develop and implement good housekeeping principles and practices
Requisites
- Minimum requirements
- Minimum Grade 12 with mathematics and accounting (NQF Level 4)
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience within an accounting environment
- Advanced computer literacy (MS Excel)
- SAGE experience will be an added advantage
- Valid Code B Driver’s License
