Description
  • Coca-Cola Beverages Africa requires the services of a Demand Planner. A specialist role, compiling with a high degree of accuracy, the detail tactical and operational sales forecasts for CCBA Namibia Demand Plan. Collaborate and engage with Sales & Marketing teams to deliver an accurate, integrated, sales forecast
Duties
  • Participate in developing and maintaining an accurate 18 month Rolling Estimate forecast in line with company strategy
  • Monitor daily sales and within agreed upon change parameters, review and maintain 13 week operational forecast
  • Maintain high level of forecast accuracy for short-term forecast that drives MRP, obtain sales input for two week out forecast, review and maintain changes
  • Weekly monitor exception reports by category, conduct root cause analysis, develop model enhancements and/or parameter optimization
  • Generate predictive high quality forecasts, over the LT, MT, as well as ST
  • Incorporate and leverage causal factors and market intelligence into statistical models
  • Maintain sales history and events database
  • Manage weekly/monthly forecast error by comparing forecast to actual and implementing findings in continuously improving forecasting process and accurac
  • Review and maintain Priority Indicator
  • Manage new and discontinued items
  • Ensure alignment with Sales and Marketing
  • Accountable to deliver the CCBA Namibia Demand Plan
  • Manage and change the Operational Forecasts based on Sales Input to ensure an updated, accurate sales forecast
  • Quantify impacts of promotional and other Marketing or Sales events planned
Requisites
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Economics or Statistics
  • CBF (Certified Business Forecaster)
  • 2 Years Demand Planning Experience, with 1 year in FMCG
  • Strong computer skills with a focus on statistical applications, database and spreadsheet building and maintenance
  • Experience in using SAP MRP
  • Proven quantitative and analytical skills. · Self-motivated individual who continuously looks for improvement opportunities
  • Demonstrated good communication skills and leadership within cross-functional teams to manage the Consensus Forecasting process
