Namib Poultry is recruiting a Driver: Water Truck, to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Description
- Drive and/or Operate the Water Truck (Extra-Heavy Motor Vehicle > 10 tons) in an effective and efficient manner
Duties
- Operational
- Pump Sumps Empty
- Spray Salt Water on Gravel Roads
- Must ensure maintenance & cleanliness of vehicle
- Must be able to understand & operate P.T.O Water Truck Spray System
- Must be willing & Able to operate Vacuum & Pump System
- Must be willing & Able to Change Quick Couplers & Piping on Pump System
- Must keep a logbook of all full trips driven
- Carry out Daily Checks & Basic Maintenance on Water Truck
- Maintain Logs of Fuel Usage
- Perform Tasks Maintaining all Health, Safety, Biosecurity and Environmental Rules
- Tank: Pump System and Inside of Vehicle Must be kept clean & in Good Condition
- Cleaning
- Truck: Tank and Pump System Must be kept clean and in good condition at all times.

- Responsible and Careful Character & Mode of Operation
Carry out ad hoc tasks associated with the Water department
Requisites
- Grade 12 (NQF4)
- Two (2) years’ experience operating a Truck/Heavy Vehicle
- Code C Driver’s Licens
- Proficient in English, being bilingual will be advantageous
- Namibian citizen
- Must be able to work shifts, weekends, overtime (After hours) and on public holidays
