City of Windhoek is recruiting a Engineering Technician: Technician Support, to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Description
- Provision of technician assistance to the Section Engineer/Engineer on water/waste water related projects, updating the water and waste water on ArcGIS database and hydraulic analysis software (WADISO & SEWSAN)
Duties
- Project related tasks as assigned to by the Engineer/Section engineer
- Design and execution of small-scale ad hoc water/wastewater related projects
- Comments on erf applications and sales
- Assist the Internal & External Stakeholders with water/wastewater related projects and general queries
- Keep the water & sewer services on the ArcGIS database/system up to date
- Operate and keep the hydraulic analysis software for water (WADISO) and sewer (SEWSAN) infrastructure up to date
Requisites
- B-Tech NQF Level 7/ National Diploma NQF Level 6: Civil Engineering, Operation of WADISO and SEWSAN software (or equivalent)
- Three (3) years experience (after Professional Registration with the Engineering Council of Namibia as Engineering Technician)
- Legal Requirement: Registration with th eEngineering Council as a Technician
- Legal requirement: A valid code B/BE drivers license

- Basic salary : N$39,106 per month
- Housing allowance : N$15,642 per month
- Transport allowance : N$2,374 per month
- Municipal allowance : N$1,809 per month
