Mediclinic is recruiting an Enrolled Nurse, to be based in Otjiwarongo, Namibia.
Duties
- To deliver safe, quality nursing care according to the Scope of Practice
- Deliver quality nursing care in collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team
- Identify, prevent and report risks to ensure patient safety
- Facilitate a positive patient experience by creating a conducive environment
- Provide accurate and comprehensive records of all nursing interventions
- Participate in creating a learning environment that builds staff competence
- Ensure that all utilized stock and equipment are accurately charged
Requisites
- ESSENTIAL EDUCATION: Enrolled Nurse Certificate
- DESIRED EDUCATION: For specialised wards, CPD courses in specific speciality area
- DESIRED EXPERIENCE: 1 year post qualification experience before placement in a specialized unit
- Basic life support trained
- Infection prevention and control (IPC) principles and protocols
- Pharmacology
- Scientific nursing principles and process
- Patient assessment skills
- Nursing processes and procedures
- Computer literate (Microsoft Office)
- Relevant nursing legislation
- Nursing care plan skills
- Risk identification
