Description
- To promote environmental health in the community as a member of the health team and to assist the Environmental Health Practitioner in the control of real and possible environmental health hazards that might threaten the health and safety of the residents
Duties
- Inspections and advice
- Community mobilisation and health education
- Pest control activities and water connections
- Administration
Requisites
- Minimum Educational Qualification:
- Grade 12 (minimum 23 points) Plus a 2-year Certificate in Environmental Health
- Minimum Experience Required:
- 2 years relevant experience during which the incumbent had to
provide a significant amount of health education
- Special Requirements:
- Driving licence code B
- Registered as Environmental Health Assistant with the Allied Health Professions Council
