Wilderness is recruiting a Hospitality Trainer, to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Description
  • Reporting directly to the Hospitality Manager, the Hospitality Trainer provides support and training of service, style and standards to all in-camp teams for Wilderness Namibia
Duties
  • Develop and innovate new, relevant, fun experiences and moments for each camp
  • Monitor and provide guidance to camps on the correct use of guest material
  • Assist with the monitoring of softs and décor in respect of camp standards
  • Ensure camps are in line with the group in terms of branding and standards whilst still maintaining their own individuality through style, service and appearance
  • Assist with updating of standards manuals and gauging compliance through observations and regular reporting
  • Assist in monitoring guest feedback in camp and address any concerns with the area managers and managers per camp as to training needs
  • Ensure training content is kept up to date according to changes in policies, procedures and/or approved standards
  • Liaise closely with the Training department on further training needs in the camps and what should be covered, this to include support tools for camps
  • Be present for training trips, both internal and external when required
  • Conduct training workshops where and when required in service and housekeeping
Requisites
  • Qualification:
  • A Diploma in Tourism & Hospitality / equivalent
  • Experience:
  • 5 years minimum experience in the luxury travel industry, with 2 years having worked in a similar position
  • Formal and thorough understanding of hospitality service and standards
  • Management experience and skills
  • Mentoring/coaching skills and experience will be an added advantage
  • Extensive interactions with and understanding of international luxury travel clientele and their expectations
  • Knowledgeable in conducting audits on Services and Standards
  • Experience with Brand Management and Camp Styling
