Komatsu is recruiting a HR Practitioner (m/f), to be based in Oranjemund, Namibia.
Description
  • Komatsu is a leading company within the mining and construction earth moving equipment industry. We are currently seeking a HR Practitioner in Oranjemund with a B.Degree in Human Resources Management and at least 4 years’ expanded HR exposure
Duties
Talent Acquisition
  • Plans with the Manager: Talent Acquisition & Development for the recruitment & selection priorities
  • Facilitates the recruitment and selection process roll-out
  • Conducts interviews for vacancies
  • Maintains absolute discretion and maturity in handling sensitive/confidential data
  • Confirms that the vacancy is valid according to the Resource Plan and approved by the HR Committee to be filled
  • Follows- up on the status of internal moves and transfers and that the system is updated accordingly
  • Compiles a report on progress made with vacant positions filled
  • Update Success Factors to ensure accurate and timeous reporting
Stakeholder Relationship Management
  • Stays abreast of documents changes & renewals of contracts
  • Liaises with key stakeholders/service providers and suppliers
  • Participates in maintaining ethical stakeholder relationships
  • Facilitates disciplinary/grievance procedures
  • Monitors on site supplier risk Monitors completion of hearings, notifications on time for hearing, hearing are attended to timeously
  • Reports on business metrics and data regarding outsourced services/contracts when required
  • Reports on issues/problems and concerns relating to employee relations and related processes
  • Provides feedback risk & deviations from supplier contracts
Performance Management Facilitation & Administration
  • Plans and schedules with line management the Performance Management process and roll-out timelines
  • Facilitates the roll-out of the performance management process
  • Monitors performance progress for the region & provides feedback
  • Provides feedback to HR management
Induction/On-boarding
  • Plans & schedules on-boarding sessions in conjunction with leadership
  • Conducts On-Boarding for new and existing employees
  • Confirms site specific (Mining) on-boarding has been arranged for new employees
  • Monitors & follows-up on queries raised by new employees and addressed/resolved Provides feedback report monthly
Plans administrative priorities with leadership and arranges meetings
  • Advises on HR policy and procedures pertaining to benefit administration e.g., housing loan, medical, loan, pension, provident fund, leave, etc. which includes the Administrating of retirement, death, funeral, and withdrawal quotations
  • Checks & follows-up on payment of all HR related claims, outstanding death claims, queries and required feedback thereof
  • Prepares and compiles reports on administrative data & information interpreted/administered & HR processes supported
Learning & Development
  • Plans learning & development priorities with leadership and arranges meetings
  • Facilitates & administrates learning & development processes and procedures
  • Controls usage of training venues, follows-up on learners attending and the teacher’s availability
  • Prepares and compiles reports on learning & development ratios and statistics
HR Administration Support
  • Plans with leadership short term activities to support team
  • Communicates with management, employees, unions, and employer bodies on Employee Related (ER) related queries
  • Assists human resources staff with various human resources administrative duties
  • Records & maintains attendance, Time in Lieu systems, sick leave, absenteeism information, etc. on system
  • Arranges documentation flow through the HR department in respect of relevant HR processes
  • Arranges employee advance in salary payment/loan
  • Checks that all HR administration processes comply with approved policy & procedures Reports daily on administrative duties performed, completion and progress
Requisites
  • B Degree in Human Resources/Industrial Psychology
  • 4 years experience
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Studyig towards an Honours degree
