Puma Energy is recruiting a Human Resource Business Partner (m/f), to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Duties
  • Recruitment, including interviews, formulation of offer of employment, job descriptions, KPI setting and Performance Management
  • Management of EOY process, including but not limited to compensation and benefits proposals and the HR budgeting process
  • Facilitation of disciplinary matters
  • HR Policy formulation and implementation
  • Management of personnel records in WD (with assistance from Mumbai HRSS), control of WD data accuracy and Global and Regional HR metrics and management of payroll related activities (payroll input to Mumbai HRSS)
  • Ensure that all Statutory provisions and Labour Laws are adhered to in Country
  • Union Negotiations and discussions
  • Employee engagement, advising line managers and employees on HR matters and queries and managing terminations/exits
  • Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to HR requests from line managers and employees in a professional and efficient manner, ensuring matters are closed out in an effective manner
  • Timeously deal with HR queries. Manage all requests and queries and provide professional solutions thereto
  • Provide HR advice and support to managers and employees on HR-related matters and organizational concerns
  • Provide standard management reports regarding key HR metrics as set out by Regional HR (e.g. staff movement, leave, overtime etc.) to GM’s of respective countries and to Regional HR Lead
  • Provide best practice HR advice to line managers
  • Provide direction and advice in the interpretation of Company policies and ensure application of standard practices. Draft new policies and procedures, as required
  • Ensure Induction Program is completed for all new recruits and ensure that new joiners’ forms are completed timeously and accurately and new hires are loaded on WD and communicated to Mumbai HRSS
  • Manage recruitment processes from start to end and provide a professional service to business. Ensure recruitment is completed with the 60-day time to hire metric set for the Africa Region and that the standard Recruitment process is followed and adhered to
  • Manage and guide the annual goal setting and end of year performance review process
  • Manage the merit and bonus year-end process for assigned countries
  • Ensure that IR matters are handled professionally and in line with local labour law requirements
  • Provide support on BBBEE HR matters (EE report submissions and management of EE targets), Skills Development Plan, ATR and WSP submission, graduate recruitment etc. Implement Regional HR Road Map initiatives at country-level and ensure reporting on progress to targets
  • Ensure training needs identified for employees are translated into development plans and training delivered
  • Manage the Talent and Succession Planning program for assigned countries
  • Champion the Puma values and HSE policy
Requisites
  • 3-5 years’ experience in Senior HR management, preferably in a HR Business Partner/ Manager role
  • Experience in handling full spectrum of HR matters and working with line managers
  • Computer literacy essential – Excel and word essential
