Accor is recruiting an Income Auditor (m/f), to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Description
  • The Income Auditor is responsible for ensuring that all departments within the hotel conform to the established guidelines for credit and collection policies and procedures. An Income Auditor is also required to work closely and communicate with the Sales, Reservations, Food and Beverage and Front Office departments and teams
Duties
  • Verifying, monitoring, and reviewing all hotel revenue reports and night audit reports to ensure that daily revenues balance and agrees to the Opera TB export as well as the guest ledger, account receivable and advanced deposits balances
  • Review all miscellaneous charges. Allowances, house account charges and staff charges to the Property
  • Management System to ensure these are authorized and valid
  • Review housekeeping discrepancy report
  • Review telephone charges to guest charges
  • Verify and monitor all PM (Paymaster Accounts) and PQ (Payment Query) accounts and ensure they are closed within 48 hours online with policies and procedures
  • Review all No Show and Cancellations for the day for authorization and validity liaising with Reservations,
  • Front Office and Sales departments
  • Review House Use and Complimentary report for authorization and validity
  • Review In-House guest balance report and take immediate action on high balances
  • Review Rate change report and liaise with Revenue Manager, Front Office and Reservations
  • Assist with month-end closing, analysis and other balance sheet reconciliations as directed by the Assistant Financial Controller
  • Ensure that Audit Trail is evident throughout all tasks
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule in order to accomplish all major responsibilities and tasks
  • Must have a thorough working knowledge and willingness to assist in other accounting functions as assigned
  • Must have a commitment to follow all local and corporate policies and procedures as they relate to Income Audit
  • Must work in a safe, prudent, and organized manner
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Financial Controller or -Assistant Financial Controller
  • Any other duties as assigned by your direct Manager
Requisites
  • College or University Degree in Accounting, or a relevant field of work, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience
  • Knowledge and Experience in Accounting systems
  • Demonstrates maturity and the ability to work independently
  • Has previous evidence of successfully managing external relationships
  • Strong financial planning, compliance & risk knowledge
  • Excellent Communication skills
  • Strong cash flow management skills
