Information Governance Manager

FNB Namibia is recruiting an Information Governance Manager, to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Description
  • To establish and maintain an enterprise-wide Information Management Governance, Risk and Compliance program and advise the business on enterprise architecture direction and quality assurance guiding the capability and maturity of the information management practices and delivery across the Information Value within stipulated bank’s regulatory framework
Duties
  • Define Information Governance for the organization
  • Ensure Information Governance reporting requirements are met
  • Ensure improved data and information maturity for the organization
  • Perform and continuously manage readiness assessments and change management Information Governance
  • Ensure the development of common data related frameworks, policies, standards, processes related to Information Governance
  • Guide the maturity of the information management practices across the information value chain within the bank’s stipulated regulatory frameworks
  • Cultivate and manage objective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders, by providing proactive advice, solutions, and input to business requirements to achieve program objectives
  • Ensure adoption and localisation of frameworks, practices, processes, and, standards that are fit for purpose
  • Drive a data driven culture that values data as an asset with business value. Lead relevant change and communications functions to drive functional maturity
  • Monitor changes in legislation, regulations, initiatives, and relevant industry practices
  • Ensure that management processes and policies are put in place for tracking of all operational issues and ensuring implementation of controls to maintain high levels of data integrity
  • Ensure a compliance roadmap is articulated, milestones defined, and programme is operational
  • Drive and/or participate in required compliance programmes
Requisites
  • Have a Bachelor Degree in Information Technology, Commerce, Engineering, Mathematics or similar field. Certification in Data Management will be an advantage
  • Have 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar environment, of which 2 to 3 years on a senior specialist level
  • Professionally qualified and experienced specialists / middle management
