Description
- The Company is looking for a suitably qualified Junior Cost Accountant for its operations based in Walvis Bay
Duties
- Analyzing costs associated with materials, Labour, and overheads
- Conducting variance analysis to identify areas of improvement and cost-saving opportunities
- Providing insights and recommendations to management based on cost analysis
- Monitoring actual performance against budgeted targets and explaining variances
- Preparing regular cost reports for management review
- Identifying inefficiencies in cost accounting processes and recommending improvements
- Implementing cost control measures to optimize efficiency and reduce waste
- Conducting ad hoc financial analysis as requested by management
- Assisting with special projects related to cost management and strategic initiatives
Requisites
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field with completed articles
- 3 – 5 years’ proven experience in cost accounting, or a similar role, preferably in the logistics industry
- Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in financial analysis and reporting
- Computer literacy is essential with advanced experience in Excel
- Namibian citizen
- Valid Driver's License
