Maintenance Supervisor: HP Oxygen Plant and Power Plant

Description

• The incumbent will report to the Maintenance Superintendent: SAP and Ancillary Plant

Duties

• Ensure compliance to all Legal, Health, Safety and Environment standards and policies as well as promoting a safety culture in area of accountability
• Lead by example through compliance with the company purpose and values
• Effective supervision, leading team members, managing the budget and other resources in areas of accountability, to achieve company goals
• Maintain a strong planning orientation and compliance with the Planning System of the company, i.e., Work Management
• Maintain a strong production focus and provide feedback to stakeholders on work done and proactively identify areas to prevent unplanned stoppages
• Effective teamwork and coordination with all cross functional stakeholders
• Ensure reports, timesheets and paperwork are accurately completed and submitted on timeCritical spares management and inventory control
• Shut planning and execution of planned work
• Support the Operations team and working together as one team
• Maintain and improve the plant condition monitoring system
• Facilitate the ongoing development of knowledge, skills and personal growth of team members

Requisites

• A Grade 12 Certificate, with a minimum of 23 points
• A N3 Trade Certificate in Mechanical Fitting or equivalent
• A National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering will be an added advantage
• A minimum of 10 years relevant post-trade test work experience is required, of which a minimum of 5 years should be on a supervisory level, and 3 years must be in an Oxygen, Ammonia, or similar
• hazardous plants in the processing industry
• Experience in an Air Separation environment will be an added advantage
• Maintenance related experience in a heavy process industry, mining or steel and practicable fitting skills
• CMMS experience (MAXIMO) for all maintenance planning
• Experience in high-speed rotating equipment such as compressors and turbines
• Experience with liquid oxygen pumps and pumping systems
• Strong people management skills
• Computer literate (Microsoft Office Suite, with strong Excel skills)
• Code B Driver’s License
