NAMCOR is recruiting a Maintenance Technician (m/f), in Windhoek, Namibia.
Duties
  • To undertake the day-to-day minor maintenance operations at NAMCOR PETROLEUM HOUSE, which include HVAC, PLUMBING & ELECTRICAL under the direction of the Engineering and Technical Services Manager
  • Occasionally, undertakes minor electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting tasks ensuring that the work performed meets the required standards
  • Provides support to sub-contracted companies by accompanying them and showing them areas that needs to be attended to; appliances, doors, cabinets, walls and building exteriors
  • Collaborates with the Supervisor in supporting NAMCOR’s 24- hour emergency maintenance
  • Schedules preventative emergency maintenance programme to ensure that there are always plans in place to reduce risk of unforeseen mishaps
  • Reports incidents and accidents resulting from usage of property so that these can be attended to avoid future occurrences
  • Contacts service providers if services are required for certain services where there are SLAs in place such as air-conditioning etc
  • Monitors that work carried out by service providers are up to standard
  • Ensures that the Contractors complete the maintenance log sheet and signs it off when work is carried out satisfactorily
  • Participates in corporate activities such as regular staff functions and or meetings as required
  • Takes the initiative to always understand and comply with applicable policies and procedures such as HSSE
Requisites
  • A technical/vocational certificate (N3) in General Electrical or refrigerator
  • At least 5 years on the job in a similar environment
