Kraatz Marine is recruiting a Management Accountant (m/f), to be based in Walvis Bay, Namibia.
Description
- To provide management with accurate and timely information, advice on the interpretation of information relating to financial and business management, and to support the company in reaching financial and non-financial goals
Duties
- To ensure that adequate and effective controls are in place and working. Custodian of the mapping of the process model and link to SAP
- Develop and facilitate strategic plans as required
- Identify and inform management about early indications of risks to the plan and opportunities where possible
- Develop the best productivity plan for Kraatz and update\check on a continuous basis
- Facilitate annual budget planning
- Evaluate internal controls and drive improvement process
- Perform monthly controls and drive corrective actions
- Drive the internal audit plan at Kraatz
- Perform costings to assess profit margins
- Focus on fixed and variable costs and the factors affecting these
- Seek opportunities to reduce cost, increase efficiency and utilization in the organization
- Track actual operational and/or financial performance to projections as per feasibility study
- Track investments, process changes and joint ventures
- Prepare monthly business performance reports and assist in preparation of management accounting pack
- Present monthly results, budgets, and profit forecasts to Management
- Verifies that all management accounting responsibilities and functions are assigned to members of the team
- Manage, monitor and influence the process of cost control for entire business, by guiding and advising Cost
- Centre controllers on new budgeting techniques, efficient planning and cost control
- Check that the financial disciplines are adhered to by all managers in the company, specifically with regard to overhead expenses
Requisites
- Degree in Management Accounting or equivalent
- 4-6 years’ experience in engineering & project driven environment
- CIMA Membership will be an Added Advantage/Preferred Advantage
