Agra is recruiting a Manager: Auction Operations, to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Description
- The successful incumbent will be based at Corporate Office
Duties
- -Takes full responsibility for the operational performance of the auctions division, measured by:
- Sales targets
- Expense/ cost and expenditures
- Gross profit margins
- Net profit
- Ensures effective and efficient budget forecasting, planning, approval by EXCO, monitoring and realisation
- Ensures acceptable customer satisfaction and retention countrywide and across our borders with the aim of growing market share
- Together with the Finance Division, ensures effective and efficient debtors realisation
- Together with the Human Resources Division, ensures effective and efficient people management and development across the entire employment cycle (workforce planning, recruitment and selection, induction, performance management, succession planning, talent retention, discipline, labour relations, and orderly exit, including exit interviews), within the designated regions
- Together with the Properties Division, ensures effective and efficient infrastructure management and maintenance
- Ensures that adequate risk management policies and procedures are in place
- Actively drives innovation and explores new opportunities to create new income streams
- Co-ordinates auctions & livestock functions across the entire country ensuring Agra standards, procedures & principles are upheld
Requisites
- Qualifications & Attributes:
- Namibian citizenship
- A Bachelor of Agriculture or Bachelor of Commerce from a recognized institution
- Minimum 8 years experience in business management
- Experience in livestock trading will serve as a distinct advantage
- A valid driver’s license
- Must have passion for the brand and customer
