Old Mutual is recruiting a Manager: Direct Channel, to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
  • Manages the daily running of the direct channel/sales call centre
  • Ensure that leads are actively worked on and converted to sales
  • Ensuring effective and relevant operational processes
  • Leading the implementation of new systems for the direct channel
  • Ensuring sensible growth and profitability of the direct channel and managing the loss ratios
  • Driving operational excellence and working closely with the Marketing team for campaigns
  • Leverage opportunities from other business units
  • Making major operational decisions within the direct channel
  • Managing operational efficiency and quality, including a balanced score card to achieve business plan
  • Keeping and maintaining Standard Operating processes
  • Analysis of various reports to take appropriate decisions promptly
  • Identify training needs for direct channel agents
  • Accountable for governance and compliance at an operational level
  • Building relationships with peers and/or colleagues that impact across business areas
  • Namibian Citizen
  • Relevant tertiary qualification; e.g. or B. Business admin
  • Business acumen
  • Managerial experience
  • Computer literacy and good numeric skills are essential with excellent MS Office skills
  • 5-10 years of Short-Term Insurance experience
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Comprehensive practical knowledge of general insurance
