Municipality of Swakopmund is recruiting a Manager Properties & Housing, to be based in Swakopmund, Namibia.
Description
  • To strategically align, manage and control all Property & Housing related policies, procedures, services, roles and functions to the overall Swakopmund Municipality (SM) high level statements and strategic plan related to Properties and Housing
  • Ensure provision of sufficient serviced land and infrastructure for housing and businesses, at affordable prices, to cater to the needs of a growing population
Duties
  • Responsible for general and strategic business management; strategically align the Property and Housing Division of the Corporate Services & Human Capital Department; e.g Policy Development, Compliance and Risk
  • Management; Land and Housing Management; Budget Preparation, Control and Administration and Occupational Health and Safety Management (OHSM) and ensure compliance to all legal requirements in terms of Property Management
Requisites
  • Relevant Tertiary qualification at NQA Level 7, eg: B.Degree in Land Management, Property/Asset Management, Public/Business Administration, Management or Law
  • 5 (five) years relevant experience in a Property/Housing related field, of which 3 years should have been in a supervisory leadership capacity
  • Valid Code B driver’s licence
