Old Mutual is recruiting a Managing Director, to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Duties
- Setting of strategic direction of the overall business including all operational aspects of the Short Term Business
- Development and Implementation of the long-term business plan
- Management of the profitability of the business (bottom line responsibility)
- Management of external and key stakeholder relationships including industry bodies
- Development of growth strategies and aggressive performance targets that result in increased sales
- Continuous development of strategies to improve business efficiencies; and
- People leadership within the business units/department under MD supervision
Requisites
- Namibian citizen
- Relevant Bachelors Degree (NQF 7
- Relevant Post Graduate qualification preferred
- Minimum of 6-8 years' experience in the short-term insurance industry with at least 5 years in senior management /executive management
- Strong change management and strategic project management will be an added advantage
- Strategic relationship management and development experience
- Experience in people management, leading and directing multiple team members in a busy task-oriented environment
- Pro-activeness and strong negotiation skills
- Exceptional Communication skills
- Strong written and presentation skills
- Solid leadership skills – team builder and team motivator; and
- Strong in strategic thinking and execution
