Namdeb is recruiting a Metallurgy Operator Cat 3, to be based in Oranjemund, Namibia.
Description

Duties
- To control and supervise the Metallurgical Treatment or Recovery Plant section, in accordance with his/her level of training and qualifying in a specific Operator Category (i.e. Scrubber/Crushing, Outside or Inside), to achieve maximum efficient throughput and to minimize delays and losses
Requisites
- Grade 12 certificate or Equivalent National Senior Certificate (20 points over 5 subjects with an E in English, Mathematics & Science)
- Code 08/B Driver’s License
- Qualified Category 3 Operator
- Experience gained through training and exposure to treatment plant processes at the Plant Operator 1-3 level
- One year plant experience as a Category 2 Operator
- Attended DebTech X-Ray machine training will be an advantage
- Process Controller (acting) will be an advantage
- Excellent safety awareness and good track record
- Permanent Namdeb Employees meeting the requirements below can be considered:
- Grade 10 (24 points in 7 subjects with English, Mathematics & Science)
- Completed CAT 3 training with 1 year experience at CAT 2 level
- Code 08 driver’s license
- Conversant in English
