Namib Mills is recruiting a Network Engineer, in Windhoek, Namibia.
Description
- Responsible for the installation, design and management of corporate networks
- To keep all networks at full functionality and scoping for future growth
- Installations of new sites and refurbishing outdated sites will also be a responsibility, as well as experience with monitoring solutions and firewalls
- Working in a team to provide service to our clients
Duties
- Maintenance of data lines & connectivity
- Capacity planning
- Maintenance & control of E-mails and internet connectivity
- Maintenance of Network infrastructure
- Telephone installations
- Firewall configuration and maintenance
- Reporting on systems and providing support to the support team to complete their duties
- Supporting local and remote users and granting of access to system and network resources
- Maintain software running on client pc’s and installing as well as upgrading hardware and software
- Ensure high level of performance and ensure compliance to Company standards and procedures
Requisites
- Grade 12 (NQF4) and relevant certification like CCNA/CCNP
- At least five (5) years’ experience in Network Design
- Language proficiency: English & Afrikaans - a third language will be advantageous
- Unix/Linux/HPE Aruba and Fortinet experience
- Valid Drivers’ License and must be willing to travel extensively
- Valid Namibian citizenship
