Mediclinic is recruiting a Night Duty Manager, to be based in Swakopmund, Namibia.
Description
- To ensure continuous safe patient care and a positive patient experience by coordinating clinical and non-clinical resources and services at night
Duties
- Continuously deliver a quality service to patients in accordance with patient safety standards
- Achieve the clinical quality standards according to policies and procedures
- Ensure the optimal utilisation and competence of staff whose behaviour reflects the organisation’s core values
- Ensure continuation of patient care through effective supervision
- Co-ordinate resources efficiently to enhance safe patient care
Requisites
- Essential Education:
- B degree or diploma in nursing
- Desired Education:
- Relevant Management and leadership qualification
- Essential Experience:
- 5 yrs clinical experience as a Professional Nurse
- Desired Experience:
- 2 to 3 yrs management experience at the unit level (SPN/UM)
- Skill and Knowledge:
- People Management
- Risk management processes and procedures
- Infection prevention and control
- Knowledge of continuous improvement and quality assurance methodologies
- Computer literate (Microsoft Office)
- Nursing functional knowledge
- Relevant nursing legislation
- Human resource processes including employee relations
- Complaint management
