Standard Bank is recruiting an Officer, GMO, in Windhoek, Namibia.
Duties
- Ensuring that all tasks handed down by management is attended to in a timeous manner and delivered within the relevant deadlines as stipulated
- Ensuring active involvement in the Performance Management process as outlined in the policies and guidelines of Standard Bank
- Ensuring compliance with all policies and guidelines of Standard Bank and its regulators
Responsibilities
- Verification and validation of trades
- To maintain and implement controls around trade management, market data management, MIS reporting and the rollout of new products and new business within Treasury in partnership with Front Office
- To act as a conduit between Operations and the Front Office
- To perform a comprehensive trader surveillance role, identifying systemic trends in trader behavior and highlighting concerns to business management
- To maintain control standards that meets the obligations of the regulator
- To proactively identify areas of potential weakness in the control framework and implement sustainable solutions
- To maintain satisfactory monthly KRI levels through active management of existing controls
Requisites
- Diploma in Finance/Accounting/Investment/Economics
- At least 3 to 5 years previous experience in:
- The Financial/Investment Industry and/or
- The Global Markets (Treasury) Industry
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel knowledge
- Fair knowledge on system architecture and integration design:
- Swift Alliance
- Calypso
- Core Banking
