Rössing Uranium is recruiting an Officer: Training and Organizational Development, to be based in Arandis, Namibia.
Description
  • An exciting opportunity exists for an Officer: Training and Organizational Development, reporting to the Specialist Training and Organizational Development
  • The primary purpose of this role is executing the training and organizational development plans aimed at increasing the employees’ ability to optimally perform in their job
Duties
  • Actively participate and maintain HSE standards with the commitment to reduce injuries and implement HSE improvement plans
  • Developing and reviews job descriptions as pre-requisite for the job evaluation process
  • Training and supporting line leaders and their teams on the talent and performance management process for effective performance management
  • Coordinating the process of setting developments plans and conducting training needs analysis across the mine
  • Compiling annual AA reports and NTA submissions with supporting documentations
  • Performing talent and skills audit for targeted bursary and graduate programs
  • Facilitating job evaluations, psychometric assessments and develop a curriculum for employee training at the mine
  • Preparing and control the annual training budget and monitor expenditure on a monthly
  • Conducting reviews and recommend interventions, for an engaged workforce aligned with the mine’s strategy and goals
Requisites
  • Bachelor’s degree/BCom in Human Resources Management or related field of study, with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in training and OD environment at a large organization
  • OR
  • Three Year National Diploma in Human Resources Management or related field of study, with a minimum of 7 years’ experience in training and
  • OD environment at a large organization
  • A valid Code B driver’s licence
  • A Police certificate of conduct of not older than six months is required
  • A record will not automatically disqualify candidates
  • Required Competencies and Skills:
  • Presentation, and problem solving skills
  • The ability to confidently deliver an engaging message to a group of people which achieves the objectives
  • The ability to manage a heavy workload
  • Ability to collaborate, provide technical support, and train staff
  • High stress tolerance skills
  • Office administration – MSWord and Excel
