OTESA is recruiting an Operations Manager (m/f), to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Description
- The Commercial Managers will be responsible for the budget and keep on top of all the costs involved in large-scale construction projects.
- He/she will be responsible for sourcing the services and resources needed on projects and negotiating costs with other suppliers
- In addition, he/she will oversee projects and monitor plans to ensure deadlines are met, projects stay within budget and work is up to standard
Duties
- Taking responsibility for the financial and cost management of projects
- Recognizing business opportunities
- Putting together bids to win new business
- Negotiating and agreeing contracts
- Strategically expanding, preserving or improving company procedures, standards or policies
- Adhering to regulatory guidelines
- Subcontractor Performance and Contract Management
- Scope and change management for existing contracts
- Stakeholder management
Requisites
- Six (6) years of relevant experience in a commercial management position with technical expertise in a construction environment
- A Degree/Diploma in Engineering or Quantity Surveying combined with working experience in a commercial function is mandatory
- Additional qualifications related to Bachelor’s/Post Graduate degree in Economics and/or Business Administration specializing in Strategy and or Marketing and/ or Sales would be an added advantage
- Strong practical knowledge in BuiltSMART, Candy System is a must
- Familiar with FIDIC, SANS & COLTO
- Driver’s License will be an added advantage
