Swakop Uranium is recruiting an Operator: Aggregate Crushing (m/f), to be based in Swakopmund, Namibia.
  • To operate machinery to produce the specified quality and quantity of aggregate products to me production targets
Key Performance Areas
  • Operate the Aggregate Crusher Plant and its attachments in a safe and efficient manner under various conditions, and execute instructions as directed by Line
  • Perform plant inspections at the beginning of each shift and throughout the shift and reports all deviations to Line
  • Start or Stop plant and tear-down according to set procedures
  • Monitor the operations to ensure the crushed material is within the required specifications
  • Monitor and record tonnage delivered and dispatch from the Aggregate Crusher Plant. Monitor and record production of various size classes produced by the Aggregate Crusher Plant
  • Start, stop, and slew radial conveyors to produce desired size fractions
  • Maintain all equipment in good working order to ensure efficient operation
  • Operate the control room (Scada)
  • Practice and maintain good housekeeping standards in assigned areas at all times
  • Operate auxiliary equipment to remove spillages and clean when the need arises, i.e. to clean out excessive spillage
  • Observe operation of equipment and/or machines to ensure continuity of flow, safety, and efficient operation and to detect malfunctions affecting safety, efficiency, product quality, or yield
  • Communicate deviations observed to the relevant parties like Dispatch, and Line
  • Report and explain any breakdowns to maintenance and Line and log such breakdowns in shift report
  • Report to Line on any non-conformance observed
  • Grade 12
  • Experience: None
  • Mining experience will be an added advantage
  • Valid Code B/BE Driver’s License
