Namib Mills is recruiting a Payroll Administrator, to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Description

  • Coordinate and administer the workload of the Payroll department
  • Providing equitable compensation for all employees and the best benefits possible within the parameters of the company's resources
Duties
  • Administrative assistance/service various departmental groups with payments and payroll data/analysis
  • Check payroll related transaction input for accuracy and completeness
  • Administrating of information for pension funds in accordance with requirements
  • Accurately managing all car insurance administration and the timeous handling of any changes, claims or queries
  • Develop and maintain a filing and retrieval system in accordance with company procedures and statutes
  • Administrate monthly payrolls and general ledgers for Namibian, South African and Zambia companies
  • Process high volume information on the system, in accordance with auditors, statutory and company requirements
  • Generate payroll runs and execute third party payments
  • Submission of transfers into employees’ bank accounts and follow up on any discrepancies
  • Ensure effective payroll reporting, and payroll movement/status changes
  • Build and maintain professional relationships across entity
  • Demonstrate capacity to learn and apply new methods and skills
  • Provide guidance and support to the team members
  • Review teams members’ monthly payroll processing documents
  • Carry out ad hoc assignments as requested by your manager
Requisites
  • Degree in Accounting/Finance/Human Resources
  • 8 - 10 years payroll processing working experience, with 2 - 3 years proven experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge of payroll procedures, regulations and related laws
  • Familiarity with Payroll software and/or Human Resources Information Systems
  • Computer literate with mastering of Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of South African and Zambian legislations and remuneration will be an added advantage
  • Namibian citizen or eligible to apply for Namibian citizenship
  • Fluent in English (Written and Spoken)
  • Valid driver's Licence
