Ashburton Investments is recruiting a Portfolio Administrator, to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Description
  • Provide efficient and effective administration support to ensure the smooth running of a functional area
Duties
  • Assist the Portfolio Managers with day-to-day administration of portfolios
  • Manage various reports on the assets and liability system and assist the team timeously with efficient administration, settlement, and pricing of portfolio assets
  • This includes close collaboration with the back office and regular reporting to internal and external stakeholders
  • Actively takes on additional responsibilities as and when required by the team to support the delivery of excellent customer service. Maintain all administrative processes for the department’s operational activities
  • Prepares administrative documentation as required by management, deliver exceptional service that exceeds customers’ expectations through proactive, innovative and appropriate solutions
  • Comply with governance in terms of legislative and audit requirements
Requisites
  • Relevant degree in Finance, Investment Management, Economics and Accounting
  • Prior experience in asset management or unit trust administration will be of advantage
  • Meticulous in quantitative and qualitative research & portfolio analysis
  • Passionate about the local and global economic and investment environment
  • A highly energetic self-starter with initiative to drive projects
  • Must accept and manage responsibilities, with the ability to work as a team member
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Teamwork and assertiveness skills
