Hollard is recruiting a Pricing Consultant: Motor (m/f), to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Duties
- Owner of Motor Pricing Model
- Analyze data from multiple sources to develop and update pricing models
- Work with multiple business functions and systems to ensure the overall profitability of the Motor Portfolio
- Perform ad-hoc analysis as requested by business
- Create and deliver reporting needed to understand various aspects of the business
- Keeping business processes, rating and systems updated with changes in industry
- Monitoring of Motor Portfolio performance including but not limited to quality review of onboarded policies and developing sales strategies in collaboration with Sales teams
- Determine competitive pricing strategies to gain market share and achieve revenue goals
- Automate and implement process improvements to increase efficiencies
- Setting standards and risk appetite for onboarding of Motor
- Ensuring reinsurance programmes adequately cover risks accepted
Requisites
- Matric ( 25 points or more)
- Engineering/ Risk Management/Management Information System/Business Degree or Diploma
- 1-3 years related experience in an analytical/pricing/actuarial environment will be beneficial
- Passionate about the business, curious about data, problem solver, strategic, proactive, creative, innovative, and collaborative
- Proficient in MS Office
- Experience in a modelling software will be advantageous
- Ability to relay complex concepts, translate data-driven insights into decisions and actions, knowledge of other visualization tools, e.g., PowerBI is advantageous
- The ability to work independently
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and be agile to business requests
- Regularly Quality Assurance and cross-check work
