Roads Authority is recruiting a Principal Legal Advisor, to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Description
- To act as a Principal Legal Advisor to the Board, CEO and act as RA’s in-house Legal Practitioner
- To assist the Executive: Legal, Corporate Governance & Compliance to research and provide legal opinions to Board and Management in order to effectively meet organizational and business objectives
- Patterson Job Grade D4
Duties
- Provision of legal advice
- Administration of litigation process
- Conduct research on legal issues in accordance with established legislation, policies and procedures
- Development of documents & record keeping
- Compliance Management
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholder
Requisites
- Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
- B. Juris and LLB Degrees
- Admitted Legal Practitioner
- Five (5) years’ relevant experience
- Code B driving license
- Competencies/Skills:
- Knowledge of Labour Laws and litigation skills
- Contracts and legal drafting skills
- Knowledge of alternative dispute resolution mechanism
- Sound understanding of labour and civil litigation
- Business and legal acumen
- High level of confidentiality
