Engen is recruiting a Property, Construction and Maintenance Specialist (m/f), to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Description
- To provide professional Retail Engineering & Construction, Consulting and Project Management services in the development and management of property projects, special projects and site maintenance, thereby enabling the affiliate to meet its objectives in a cost effective and efficient manner.(Retail and Commercial sites)
Duties
- Facilitate and participate in network planning process to establish short- and medium-term development plans and determine contractual requirements for each outlet in the network
- Manage security of tenure through establishing and maintaining healthy relationships with Engen service station landlords to ensure Engen's network of service stations and the company's volumes are secured
- Identify development opportunities, perform market and site-specific research, conduct feasibility studies using appropriate tools, calculate project returns and submit proposals for the re- vitalization, upgrade or redevelop existing facilities so as to optimize the network of service stations
- Manage projects through dedicated projects managers, professionals and contractors, coordinate involvement from external stakeholders and business partners in accordance with approvals and budgets
- Develop a robust Retail Network Master Plan that is aligned with relevant city/town and road network plans
- Manage design and cost estimation by taking the project through preliminary sketch plan phase for conceptual site approval as well as final working drawings & detailed cost estimates, to facilitate the calculation of Engen's ROI
- Ensure compliance and implementation with Engen HSEQ & legislation requirements and standards and practices at site level
Requisites
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering (NQF 7)
- 5 years Engineering Projects experience in a Petrochemical industry
- 5 years’ experience in Network Development/Property (within Retail/Fuel Sales/FMCG environment)
- Project Contract Management experience SAP and ACAD exposure
- Knowledge of HSEQ regulations & standards and PSM fundamentals
- Proven experience in Project Management
- Experience in Quantity Surveying/ Estimating /Pricing
- Experience in working with MS Project, AutoCad
