Kraatz Marine is recruiting a Quality Assurance Manager (m/f), to be based in Walvis Bay, Namibia.
Description
- To ensure that quality assurance and control services meets both external and internal requirements, including legal compliance and customer expectations, Supervises and co-ordinates the activities of the inspectors at various stages of the manufacturing, assembly process and manufactured parts to ensure that prescribed standards are adhered to
Duties
- Develop in-house quality policies, procedures, and specifications
- Develop and maintain proper records and documentation of quality test and other quality-related activities
- Liaise with procurement/Suppliers as to specific material requirements and certification
- Implement and monitor quality assurance standards to ensure consistent product quality
- Ensuring compliance with class rules, regulations, and legislation (IACS)
- Ensuring compliance with IMO regulations and legislation
- Communicating standards and monitoring compliance (Weld procedures & Specifications)
- Ensuring procedures are properly understood and executed
- Advise welding procedure as per drawing specification
- Develop quality packs/reports for projects
- Liaise with Project Managers on technical requirements
- Maintain welder qualifications/certification including prolongations
- Compiling and maintaining of redline drawings and weld maps
- Select, interpret, and arrange client/drawing NDE requirements
- Raise NCR’s and advise corrective action
Requisites
- Advanced Diploma or 3-year bachelor’s degree with minimum 6 years’ experience
- Level 1 Certificate in SAIW or CSWIP equivalent
- Level 2 Certificate in MPI and UT
- Level 1 Certificate in Dye Pen
