FNB Namibia is recruiting a Quantitative Analyst (m/f), to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Duties
  • To plan, build and implement innovative quantitative analytic methodologies, procedures, products and models within a broad framework in order to enhance and inform strategic decisions in the FirstRand Group
  • Control expenditure and identify process improvements to contain and reduce costs
  • Participate in planned activities that are appropriate for own development
  • Ensure the development, alignment, and implementation of end-to-end processes within area of accountability for continued process improvement
  • Build, test and implement models and analytical solutions that improve business outcomes related to reduced risk and costs, increased profitability, optimized efficiency and to facilitate strategic decision-making
  • Mine and analyze structured and unstructured data and translate it into an understandable and manageable format to inform and enable creative and effective business solutions for clients and targeted revenue growth
  • Compile reports that track progress and guide business to make informed decisions
  • Manages risks in own area of responsibility
  • Creates solutions to meet customer demands to deliver internal and external customer service excellence through adherence to quality service standards
Requisites
  • Minimum Qualification - B Degree in one of the following (Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, Econometrics, Physics or Actuarial Science)
  • Preferred Qualification - Post Graduate Degree in one of the listed fields of study
  • Experience - 3 to 5 years relevant experience
