Retirement Annuity and Investment Specialist

Sanlam is recruiting a Retirement Annuity and Investment Specialist, to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Description
  • Process and capturing of Retirement annuity maturities and early maturities
  • Authorisation of retirement annuities payments and issuing of new investments
Duties
  • Preparing and overriding Sanport quotes
  • Retrieving Early Retirement quotes
  • Prepare request to send to SA actuarial to adjust policy records change the currency from SA rand to NAM dollars
  • Complete, sign and stamp ROPs- Return of Purchase to other instructions
  • Prepare, and draft ROTs to other insurers to sign off in order to transfer funds to other ILLA or Life Annuit plans
  • Recalculating incomes, identifying irregularities and requesting for outstanding requirements
  • Allocating internal and external funds from the FNB bank account onto the investment plans by preparing P920 journals
  • Transferring funds between investment plans in order to balance amounts for P29 plans
  • Prepare documentation, quotes and managers decisions for reissuing cases
  • Preparing journals to reallocate and recon reissuing costs
  • Capturing investment plans 2,3,29 on NUB800 and issuing them
  • Provide feedback on pending cases and portfolio slips to intermediaries on finalized cases
  • Scan, capture and authorize Early and Matured Retirement Annuity claims on all databases
  • Updating all client’s personal details and ensure they are compliant with every claim
  • Request for PDD/ DRA/ ORMs screening on all the investments
  • Request for approval of payments and availability of funds from Finance to finalize Retirement claims
  • Prepare and sign off on checklists on all payments
  • Capture all Retirement continuations on all databases and debit orders if the continuation is with premiums
  • Back up to authorize all Savings claims on all databases
  • Maintaining all related cases on DocIt
Requisites
  • Qualifications and Experience:
  • Minimum Grade 12 certificate and a further tertiary qualification in the relevant fields will be an added advantage
  • 2-3 years administrative experience in the financial services sector, preferably as a financial adviser and/or sales management role
  • Knowledge and Skills:
  • Excellent Communication Skills in English (Verbal & Written)
  • One local Namibian language will be an added advantage
  • Computer Literate (MS Office Package)
  • Strong communication skills
