City of Windhoek is recruiting a Section Engineer: Maintenance, to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Description
- Management of the maintenance functions of the entire City of Windhoek’s electrical network: 66kV, 11kV, 400v including the streetlights and Traffic Lights as well as the capital project regarding network rehabilitation and refurbishment
Duties
- Supervise the work/job activities of staff members in Section
- Management of the engineering function to support electrical network and streetlights maintenance
- Implement Maintenance management systems for network assets
- Plan for maintenance activities and resources planning
- Network/equipment condition-bases monitoring, data audits and data collection for reliability and failure analysis, data interpretation and implementation of all applicable corrective preventative or predictive maintenance
Requisites
- B. Eng./BSc Degree (Electrical Engineering) or B-Tech Degree (Electrical Engineering) with a minimum period of six (6) years experience after obtaining B. Eng./BSc Degree or eight (8) years experience after obtaining B-Tech Degree with medium and high voltage systems with specific emphasis on maintenance. Registration with the Engineering Council of Namibia as a Professional Engineer or Incorporated Engineer and a valid code B/BE drivers’ license
