City of Windhoek is recruiting a Section Head: Public Participation, to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Description
- To develop, establish and direct public participation strategies and programmes for the organisation in order to achieve high participatory levels among the residents of Windhoek
Duties
- Plan, develop and implement the public participation policy and strategy
- Supervise the work/job activities of staff members in Section
- Plan the bi-annual public meetings and other ad hoc meetings for engagement with residents throughout the year
- Manage public and national events logistics and planning for the organization
- Plan the liaison between Council, departments and residents for service delivery
- Plan the establishment and maintenance of network links with key external stakeholders and partners
- Plan the training for community committee structures
Requistes
- Bachelors Degree: Public Administration/Business Administration/Community Development/Education/Social Sciences and Humanities with four (4) years job related experience
- A code B/BE driver’s license
