Bank Windhoek is recruiting a Senior Brand Manager, to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Description
  • As a critical role in the division, the Senior Brand Manager (SBM) is accountable for the development, implementation and evaluation of strategy-aligned, high profile, Integrated Marketing Campaigns, which promote the Bank Windhoek Brand and its products, services and delivery channels
  • The position provides important support & guidance to Brand Managers (BMs) during the execution stages of campaigns and is responsible for developing sales-led and insight-led product/offering marketing strategies, as well as launching new CVPs
  • Lastly, the position provides input into the strategic roll-out of the brand plan
Duties
  • Strategy:
  • Responsible for engaging with all internal suppliers and clients (business units) to determine their business objectives in support of the Bank Windhoek strategy, and present this to Head: BM and Exec: MCCS, in order to assist them in developing well researched and customer-focused marketing campaign plans
  • Support Head: BM in the compilation of the annual Brand Strategy, Annual Brand Activity Calendar and Annual Budget
  • Responsible for compilation of product/offering marketing strategies aligned with business and Brand strategy that leverages key market, customer and branch insights. Provide guidance to BMs when compiling their own strategies
  • Responsible for alignment with Business and Marketing strategy in all aspect of planning and execution, to ensure that activities meet the business needs, and that Return on Investment (ROI) is top-of-mind when evaluating all project proposals
  • Campaign Management:
  • Planning of Product Marketing Campaigns:
  • Responsibilities:
  • Launch new Customer Value Propositions (CVPs) or offerings into the market
  • To ensure the timeous, relevant and customer-focused briefing of all planned and ad hoc activities on the annual brand calendar
  • Support:
  • Provide assistance in the briefing process for key overarching brand campaigns
  • Provide assistance in the compilation of each activity’s plan
  • Consultation:
  • Provide input into the compilation of the activity-specific plans, ensuring that all activity plans are measurable and bring about business success
  • Provide input in the reviewing of the Annual calendar and Annual budget
  • Execution of Product Marketing Campaigns:
  • Responsibilities
  • Ensure that activities are executed according to plan and within budget
  • Regularly monitor activity progress and amend the activity as needed
  • Support:
  • Provide assistance in ensuring the on time and in full execution of the Annual Calendar
  • Reporting On Marketing Campaigns:
  • Responsibilities:
  • Compile detailed and convincing Pre-evaluation reports per large campaigns/activities, for presentation and approval at Marketing Committee, with a strong focus on ROI
  • Compile detailed and reflective post-evaluation reports per large campaigns/activities, for approval by Marketing Committee, with a strong focus on ROI
  • To be shared with all key stakeholders
  • Provide assistance in the compiling of formal reports for EMT and Board
  • Provide assistance in the administration of the Marketing Committee,preparation of agendas and minutes for the committee meetings and tracking of action plan tasks
  • Customer Service:
  • Maintain a positive and professional relationship with internal customers (branches, product owners and support services), advise them on marketing best practices and CI adherence and ensure that their requests and enquiries receive prompt feedback
  • Responsible for proactive monitoring of internal customers’ sales/performance metrics and identifying the most effective marketing support to complement sales efforts toward closing the gap
  • Support BMs in maintaining a positive and professional relationship with internal customers (branches, product owners and support services), advise them on marketing best practices and CI adherence and ensure that their requests and enquiries receive prompt feedback
  • Responsible to co-manage the Brand Perception & Equity of Bank Windhoek in the minds of external customers and ensure that branches are equipped to fulfil this perception, prior to
  • Compliance:
  • To support Head: BM by continuously reviewing and updating the CI and to flag items not conforming/reflecting the correct CI or Signage/Branch Design Guides
  • Responsible for brand application support, for example response to Bank officials’ and suppliers’ enquiries or requests for assistance/information with the compilation and/or branding of existing or new documents and promotional items
  • Adherence to all relevant Bank Windhoek Policies and Procedures
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Responsible for collating market learnings, trends and competitor activity on a weekly basis, in an organised fashion in the designated folder
  • All scans/images/ videos/screengrabs of competitor activity must be captured
  • Accountable to share learnings, trends and competitor activity with internal clients and internal partners
  • Support Head: BM in the maintenance of Policies
  • Other:
  • Provide input into the capacity management of the Brand Management team Provide basic support to the other divisions within MCCS, as well as to Capricorn Group Brand, as needed
  • Expertise:
  • Knowledge of Products and Services:
  • The person should have the adequate knowledge of the product and services that are offered by Bank Windhoek, as well as knowledge as to which levers to engage to ensure that the product/service is profitable
  • Knowledge of Systems and Procedures:
  • The person should have the sufficient knowledge of the systems and procedures that apply to his/her post, in order to carry out the work effectively
  • Knowledge of Account and Client Management:
  • The person must have experience in effectively managing relationships with clients and managing the development of briefs and marketing material that answer business requirements, add value to the customer experience and are reflective of our brand
  • General:
  • Other Duties:
  • The person should be prepared / willing to do any other reasonable and lawful instruction/task and it is normally carried out on time and correct
  • Team Support:
  • Participate in cross functional projects and provide Brand Marketing input as and when requested on any other programs within the department, on an ongoing basis
  • Support with various functions within the MCCS team, as and when required
Requisites
  • Experience/Knowledge & Skills:
  • Knowledge of the system and processing activities
  • Self-confidence and interpersonal skills
  • Computer literate: (Knowledge of Windows XP, Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel Level I & II and Word Level I & II)
  • Analytical skills
  • Product knowledge
  • Qualification:
  • Degree in Marketing Communications or the equivalent in experience
  • MINIMUM: - 5 years’ experience in marketing planning and campaign development environment
  • Client Service exposure at a Creative Agency would be an added advantage
  • Project Management skills would be an added advantage
