- To develop the scope and professional depth of its Stockbroking services, the following position needs to be filled:
- To perform the Simonis Storm equity dealing function within a clear framework of statutory and industry standards and requirements as well as efficiency benchmarks in order to both grow SSS share of total
market as well as optimize average margin on brokerage and related dealing fees in the context of superior service and efficient closure of deals on behalf of clients. To develop and maintain relationships with investment managers, partner firms and clients in order to enable smooth operational dealing flow as well as effective problem solving where it may be required
Duties
- Accurate and timeous execution of equity securities trades
- Maintain and distribute daily trading metrics and reports
- Account opening and Financial Intelligence Act (FIA) validation
- Inform team of relevant market and economic news and trading levels
- Trade and portfolio reporting to investment committee and clients
- Generate bespoke financial content, trade ideas and research
- Develop and maintain broker/client relationships
- Develop client book through sales
- Introduce prospective clients to the investment products available
- Supervision of dealing desk
Requisites
- Minimum qualification and experience:
- Degree in a business-related field with accounting and/or legal qualification
- Will have to write the Registered Persons Exams (RPE)
- Computer literate (Advanced MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
- Skills and competencies:
- Trade execution across multiple platforms
- Ability to perform fundamental and technical analysis
- Excellent communication skill s
- Proficient in MS Office
- Ability to explain difficult concepts
